About Michelle

Hi! I am Michelle Kennedy Hogan. I am wife to John (for the last 10 years), and the mother to Matt, 16; Lydia, 15; Alex, 12; Liam, 10; Jack, 3; and baby Kiara, who arrived in October ‘07.

I am also a writer - of books on parenting & pregnancy by Barron’s and a memoir, “Without a Net: Middle Class and Homeless (With Kids) in America,” by Viking - and articles on lots of stuff, like attachment parenting, gardening, raising teens, simple living, eating well, living cheap, homelessness and poverty, etc. Some of them have been published in places like Salon.com, The NYT, The CSM, Redbook, Family Circle, and FamilyFun.

As Founding Editor of Organically Inclined, I get to write about a lot of things that interest me.

I am also an activist for issues like homelessness, health care, global warming, children, homeschooling, home birth, breastfeeding, and some other stuff.

I frequently speak to organizations and groups about raising kids, homeschooling and unschooling, homelessness, poverty issues, simple living, “going green” and many other issues.

Invite me to speak at your event, I’d love to come!

Or just email me to say “hi” - michelle [at] organicallyinclined dot org

Thanks!

Misha
